Tarragona 2001 Gran Reserva, Baturrica, Spain

One of the best "cheap" wines. This one from DO Tarragona, sold (exclusive?) by Lidl and described by Anthony Worrall Thompson this way: "For those with a passion for fiery reds, look no further than Baturrica's Tarragona. Terase 2006, Jeruzalem Ormož, Podravje, Slovenia

Terase (40 % Sauvignon, 30 % Šipon, 15 % Chardonnay, 15 % Italian Riesling) by Jeruzalem Ormož Yellow Label. Served to us in Allegria. Very good. The wine has a pleasant bouquet with Sauvignon and Šipon prevailing. In its flavour it is elegant with emphasised fruitiness and freshness.
